Shrine to Ditka
Our friend Steve was in town this weekend. He and Rob are both big fans of the Chicago Bears, having grown up in northwest Indiana, so Rob planned a trip to Union Pub, near Union Station in Washington, D.C, to watch Sunday’s Bears / Lions game. Fans here are serious. The bar was crowded by game time, and most attendees wore Bears jerseys, shirts or hats. Fans cheered nearly every play, and pub staff played the “Super Bowl Shuffle” before the game and “Bear Down, Chicago Bears” after every score. And among the beers on draught: Goose Island 312 (from Chicago).
