Birthday Stationary

Last month I spent a rare Friday afternoon in the Pyramid Atlantic letterpress studio, printing two sets of stationary as a birthday gift for my mom, along with a set of thank you cards for myself. (I’d originally intended the thank you cards to be holiday cards … and then time got away from me.)

Some shots from the printing:

In Lockup

Everything in lockup on the Vandercook press. I took this photo as I waited for some extra brown ink to blend in with the existing ink on the rollers.

First Set Complete

Set 1: Orange-brown ink on off-white paper from Paper Source.

Just Printed

Set 2: Blue ink on light blue paper from Paper Source. The blue stationary was a tad larger than the off-white stationary, so I added the blue ornaments (from the top of this post) to the bottom of each page.
